Main Ingredients:
- 2 lbs beef brisket chuck roast, or ground beef
- 2 tbsp Meat Church BBQ rub
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion diced
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 red bell pepper chopped
- 2 jalapeños diced (optional for heat)
- 1 can 14.5 oz fire-roasted diced tomatoes
- 1 can 15 oz tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth or beer
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 can 15 oz kidney beans or black beans (optional)
Spices & Seasonings:
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 2 tsp cumin
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper adjust for spice level
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Optional Toppings:
- Shredded cheddar cheese
- Sour cream
- Fresh cilantro
- Sliced jalapeños
- Crushed tortilla chips
Step 2: Sauté Aromatics
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add diced onions, garlic, and bell peppers. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
Step 3: Brown the Meat
Add the seasoned beef to the pot and brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in tomato paste and cook for another 1-2 minutes to enhance the flavor.
