Ingredients
  

Eggs

  • 8 large eggs boiled and peeled

Sauces and Condiments

  • ½ cup mayonnaise for creaminess
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard adds tang

Vegetables

  • ¼ cup celery finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill chopped

Seasoning

  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Optional Additions

  • 1 tsp pickle relish for sweetness
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice for brightness
  • ¼ cup red onion finely chopped

Instructions
 

  • Place the eggs in a pot and cover with cold water. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, turn off the heat, cover, and let the eggs sit for 10-12 minutes. Transfer the eggs to an ice bath for 5 minutes to cool, then peel.
  • Place the peeled eggs in a large mixing bowl and mash them using a fork or potato masher to your preferred consistency (chunky or smooth).
  • Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, celery, dill, salt, and pepper to the mashed eggs. Mix until well combined.
  • Taste the egg salad and adjust seasoning as needed, adding a little extra salt, pepper, or lemon juice if desired.
  • Serve your egg salad chilled on bread, crackers, or lettuce wraps. For an authentic experience, serve on white bread and cut into quarters.

Notes

This classic recipe can be customized by adding ingredients like avocado for creaminess, curry powder for a twist, or spicy sriracha for a kick. Try serving it in a low-carb form with lettuce wraps for a keto-friendly meal!
