- 1 lb chicken thighs or breast, sliced
- ½ head green cabbage chopped
- 1 medium onion sliced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce optional for extra flavor
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cups chicken broth or water
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Fresh cilantro or green onions for garnish
