Chicken bone broth is a nutrient-packed, comforting drink made by simmering chicken bones with vegetables and seasonings. It's an excellent base for soups, stews, sauces, and a soothing beverage on its own, offering numerous health benefits such as improved gut and joint health.

Ingredients
  

  • Chicken Bones wings, feet, carcass
  • Vegetables: Carrots onions, celery
  • Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Herbs & Spices: Bay leaves thyme, peppercorns, parsley
  • Water preferably filtered

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Bones: Blanch the bones by boiling them for 10 minutes to remove impurities. Optionally, roast the bones at 400°F for 30-45 minutes for a richer flavor.
  • Combine Ingredients: Add the bones, vegetables, vinegar, and seasonings to a large pot (or slow cooker/Instant Pot). Fill with water, leaving space at the top.
  • Simmer:
  • Stovetop: Bring to a boil, then simmer for 12-24 hours. Skim impurities periodically.
  • Slow Cooker: Set to low and cook for 12-24 hours.
  • Instant Pot: Cook on high pressure for 2 hours and let it naturally release.
  • Strain & Store: Use a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth to separate the solids from the broth. Store the broth in airtight containers in the fridge (up to 5 days) or freeze (up to 6 months).
