Ingredients

  • 4 venison cube steaks
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp beef bouillon granules
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 onion chopped (optional)
  • 1 cup water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

Season the Venison:

  • Season the venison cube steaks with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

Dredge in Flour:

  • Lightly coat the seasoned steaks in all-purpose flour to create a crispy crust.

Sear the Steaks:

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

Prepare Slow Cooker:

  • Transfer the seared steaks into a slow cooker. Add beef bouillon granules, chopped onion (if desired), and water.

Slow Cook:

  • Cover the slow cooker and set it to low heat. Cook for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the steaks are tender and juicy.

Serve:

  • Once the steaks are cooked, serve them with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a side of your choice. Drizzle the cooking liquid over the steaks for extra flavor.
