Ingredients
  

For the Brisket:

  • 4 –5 lbs beef brisket flat or point cut
  • 2 tbsp beef bouillon powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For Cooking (Slow Cooker or Smoking):

  • 2 cups beef broth for slow cooking
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt adjust based on bouillon powder’s saltiness

Instructions
 

Prepare the Brisket:

  • Pat the brisket dry with paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, mix bouillon powder, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and onion powder.
  • Rub the brisket with olive oil, then coat it evenly with the spice mix.

Cooking Methods:

  • Slow Cooker Method:
  • Place the seasoned brisket in the slow cooker.
  • Pour beef broth and Worcestershire sauce around (not over) the brisket.
  • Cook on low for 8–10 hours or until tender.
  • Let it rest for 20 minutes before slicing.

Smoking Method:

  • Preheat smoker to 225°F and use hickory or oak wood chips.
  • Place the brisket fat-side up and smoke until the internal temperature reaches 195–205°F (about 6–8 hours).
  • Wrap in butcher paper or foil at 165°F to retain moisture.
  • Let the brisket rest for 30 minutes before slicing.
